Hotness of Now

Ok, it's been a while since I've posted anything so I'm slightly copying my bff. (Thanks DD for your constant texts and threats of encouragement.) Anyway, she made a list of some of our current eye candy and categorized them by type. (Yes, we are constantly sometimes shallow.) So I decided to go a step further and make a list of ALL of my favorites. This list, with exception of the Twi-guys, are only from television. It would've been entirely too long to list men from movies as well. It's way too long as it is!

Alright, so without further ado, I give you my favorite eye candies of Now.

More...Icons...

Ok, so I made more icons. I just like to make them. I'm sorry. No one even uses them that I know of, myself included for the most part, but I continue to waste days hours making them. Oh, well.

I made Amanda Righetti icons. This is another woman I really like. I'm seriously starting to question myself at this point. I've made a large amount of female icons, all of which are of women I love. Hm... I will def make ones of the male species next. Yes, I believe them to be their own species.

Anyhoo.

Supernatural on TNT (and an awesome video)

I know, I know, Supernatural has already started on TNT as of 10am today, but I had this awesome video I wanted to post so I figured I might as well talk about Spn too.

So, anyway, as any real Spn fan knows, they started playing reruns on TNT today. Here is the schedule.

I'm proud to say that my bff DD is going to DVR them so that she can catch up with the show. I hounded her about watching from the beginning but she insisted on watching some of season 5 first. (Who am I to argue with spreading the awesome?) So, she likes it, but is admittedly confused bc she's missed why/how everything got to the point it's at now. Now, she's going to be able to participate in what she refers to as my "fangirliness." I can't wait!

I'd just like to point out that that brings my convert total to 5! First, Irish; then Myrtle and Rygel, my husband, and now DD. I need an award! lol.

Ok, now that I got that mostly non-important info out of the way, I have a Spn video for you to watch. Of course this isn't mine, I wouldn't know how to begin to make a video in the first place, much less how to make one as brilliant as this one. In fact all her vids are great IMO, so go check them out!

Title: The Fallen In The War
Vidder: SecretlyToDream
Song: Earthman

I would love to have comments here, but please take a minute to go comment on the video at Youtube as well.

(I'm obviously going to have to work on my blog now bc the freaking video is too big. Whatever.)

A Party of Birth

So, I just wanted to make a small little post about my oldest son's birthday party. He doesn't turn 6 for a couple more days, but we had his party a little early to accommodate my brother. (He's in the Marines and is stationed in Japan, but was able to come home for Christmas. He leaves this Friday.)

We had the party at the local bowling alley and shared it with our nephew who will also be turning 6 in a few days. The kids had a great time. My youngest son even got a strike! I took lots of pictures and he got lots of presents! (Like he didn't get enough for Christmas.)

I even got turned into a vampire by one of our other nephews. He is practically the same age as my son, only he won't turn 6 until July. He crawled around on the floor trying to scare me, then he announced his chosen monster and "bit" my neck. He then told me that I was a vampire now and held out his hand in a very gentleman-esque manner saying, "Come, my darling." It was so cute. I had been in mid-conversation, but it was just too cute so I immediately got up and went with him. He took me to the bowling area and told me it was "Bat bowling", "Where all the vampires bowl." He said all this in a 'Vampire voice.' The rest of the time I was his 'vampire darling.'

My oldest son, who from now on will be referred to as C1, wasn't ready to leave, even after the party ran way over. (Thank God my husband has 'pull' at the bowling alley. jk...not really.) After over an hour of bowling we had pizza and cake, then presents. My nephew whipped through his presents like a tornado, while my son was reeeaallly slow. He read every card and unwrapped each present carefully. Lol. After that he played some of the arcade games and cried when it was time to go.

We bought him some bowling shoes of his own and a ball. He was so excited about them. He doesn't have the ball yet bc they had to order it, but he got to get the measurements done for the holes and his shoes have spiders on them that glow in the dark. That was a plus! haha.

Thankfully, we don't have anymore big spending holidays or birthdays until November and then it starts all over again!

I don't really know why anyone would care about this little ramble, but oh well. I hope someone does...

New Year's Resolutions

Alright, first of all, I don't really believe in making New Year's resolutions. The only thing they are good for - for me at least - is to postpone my fail. NYR's are a procrastination tool. All through the year when I think about something I want to change I always think, "Well, that can be a NYR. I'll just wait to do it then." So, in that respect they are a good idea. Anything that helps me put off doing something is a great thing.

However, once I make my NYR's I have to try to stick with them all at one time, which in turn gives me more to do. Then I end up deciding which of them is most important and try to do that one thing. Eventually, and it always happens, I fail. For example last year I decided to lose weight. This year, one of my resolutions is to lose weight. I am happy to say that I am not the only person that has the same issue. I have a friend that had the same resolution last year and will be trying again this year. Hopefully, this time we can motivate the other better than we did last year. ::fingers crossed::

Anyway, even though I've deemed them both useful and pointless, I'll get on with my list. It's a very short list.

1. To lose weight by cutting back portions (bc I'm too picky to eat healthier) and to either count calories in addition to cutting portions or get off my tush and do some exercise in the form of the Wii Fit and walking outside. Both would be great, but I'm not holding my breath for any of it to happen.

2. Get my priorities in order. I really need to put my housewife duties ahead of my internet habit. It's so darn hard though. I'm addicted I think, like, literally, addicted. Help! No, don't. Yes. No...OMG, I can't breath.

::deep breath::

Ok, I'm good.

3. Find MY style. I have a habit of changing what I like so frequent that with my clothes I usually just settle on something I sorta like and then see something somewhere else when I don't have money and get mad bc I can't get it. So, perhaps, jointly I need to somehow get more money. =)

4. Last, and certainly least, I want to read a classic. I've read some books this past year, all of which, I really enjoyed. I've read all the Twilight books, all the available books in the Sookie Stackhouse Series, and the first two books in The Vampire Diaries series. However, I want to read a book the likes of Wuthering Heights or Pride and Prejudice. I just have to decide where to start. What do you guys think?

So, there you have it, my New Year's resolutions. What are yours?
