Alright, first of all, I don't really believe in making New Year's resolutions. The only thing they are good for - for me at least - is to postpone my fail. NYR's are a procrastination tool. All through the year when I think about something I want to change I always think, "Well, that can be a NYR. I'll just wait to do it then." So, in that respect they are a good idea. Anything that helps me put off doing something is a great thing.
However, once I make my NYR's I have to try to stick with them all at one time, which in turn gives me more to do. Then I end up deciding which of them is most important and try to do that one thing. Eventually, and it always happens, I fail. For example last year I decided to lose weight. This year, one of my resolutions is to lose weight. I am happy to say that I am not the only person that has the same issue. I have a friend that had the same resolution last year and will be trying again this year. Hopefully, this time we can motivate the other better than we did last year. ::fingers crossed::
Anyway, even though I've deemed them both useful and pointless, I'll get on with my list. It's a very short list.
1. To lose weight by cutting back portions (bc I'm too picky to eat healthier) and to either count calories in addition to cutting portions or get off my tush and do some exercise in the form of the Wii Fit and walking outside. Both would be great, but I'm not holding my breath for any of it to happen.
2. Get my priorities in order. I really need to put my housewife duties ahead of my internet habit. It's so darn hard though. I'm addicted I think, like, literally, addicted. Help! No, don't. Yes. No...OMG, I can't breath.
::deep breath::
Ok, I'm good.
3. Find MY style. I have a habit of changing what I like so frequent that with my clothes I usually just settle on something I sorta like and then see something somewhere else when I don't have money and get mad bc I can't get it. So, perhaps, jointly I need to somehow get more money. =)
4. Last, and certainly least, I want to read a classic. I've read some books this past year, all of which, I really enjoyed. I've read all the Twilight books, all the available books in the Sookie Stackhouse Series, and the first two books in The Vampire Diaries series. However, I want to read a book the likes of Wuthering Heights or Pride and Prejudice. I just have to decide where to start. What do you guys think?
So, there you have it, my New Year's resolutions. What are yours?

You would have Wuthering Heights on your list! LOL
And I like your your "style" resolution. I need to save up money to do that as well!!
Yea, right now my style is whack! ...and not in the good way!
and as for the rest of your comment - I have no idea what you're talking about. hehe.
ok so when are we starting? lol
i was a bold girl and copied your idea for my own blog sorry. I just wanted to put it down in writing so now I can't back down. :D
Well, in keeping with last year's theme, Bram Stoker's Dracula is amazing! I just finished A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain and highly recommend that. Shakespeare's Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream are good, not sure how "classic" you wanna get. And I know I'm out of the loop, but Wuthering Heights is really good! I found Bleak House at the flea market over the summer, but have not read it yet. It's supposed to be one of Charles Dicken's best works. Um, any hits, or are they all misses?
--Myrtle.
Irish - We should've started today! I didn't do very good though. haha.
Myrtle - perhaps I will read BS's Dracula at some point...I don't think I want to read Shakespeare. lol.
and to let you in the loop, Bella (in Twilight, of course) read Wuthering Heights...I've never heard of Bleak House, let me know what you think of it.
Also, I didn't know you were reading. lol. I'll have to look up what that's about...I think since you said it's good, I might start with WH.
