So, I just wanted to make a small little post about my oldest son's birthday party. He doesn't turn 6 for a couple more days, but we had his party a little early to accommodate my brother. (He's in the Marines and is stationed in Japan, but was able to come home for Christmas. He leaves this Friday.)
We had the party at the local bowling alley and shared it with our nephew who will also be turning 6 in a few days. The kids had a great time. My youngest son even got a strike! I took lots of pictures and he got lots of presents! (Like he didn't get enough for Christmas.)
I even got turned into a vampire by one of our other nephews. He is practically the same age as my son, only he won't turn 6 until July. He crawled around on the floor trying to scare me, then he announced his chosen monster and "bit" my neck. He then told me that I was a vampire now and held out his hand in a very gentleman-esque manner saying, "Come, my darling." It was so cute. I had been in mid-conversation, but it was just too cute so I immediately got up and went with him. He took me to the bowling area and told me it was "Bat bowling", "Where all the vampires bowl." He said all this in a 'Vampire voice.' The rest of the time I was his 'vampire darling.'
My oldest son, who from now on will be referred to as C1, wasn't ready to leave, even after the party ran way over. (Thank God my husband has 'pull' at the bowling alley. jk...not really.) After over an hour of bowling we had pizza and cake, then presents. My nephew whipped through his presents like a tornado, while my son was reeeaallly slow. He read every card and unwrapped each present carefully. Lol. After that he played some of the arcade games and cried when it was time to go.
We bought him some bowling shoes of his own and a ball. He was so excited about them. He doesn't have the ball yet bc they had to order it, but he got to get the measurements done for the holes and his shoes have spiders on them that glow in the dark. That was a plus! haha.
Thankfully, we don't have anymore big spending holidays or birthdays until November and then it starts all over again!
I don't really know why anyone would care about this little ramble, but oh well. I hope someone does...

oh can you buy your own bowling shoes over there?! that's cool..I hate wearing those shoes in the alley sometimes..
Ha! Yea, you can. C has like 4 balls I think. He's had more than that. He, unfortunately, loves getting new ones, but I made him get rid of a couple or he'd have more.
btw, I have 2 of my own too! lol.
Happy (early) Birthday C1! Ya'll are a bowling family, huh? Hehe!
Have they had fun with Uncle "Little Indian child in the woods"? (hahaha)
That's sweet how he opens his presents! So cute!
Where are ya'll gonna put all those new toys? I saw the pics and b/t Christmas and birthdays, they got a TON!!
Ha! We've actually not seen a whole lot of the 'indian child' since he's been here. In fact, I talk to him more when he's in Japan. In other news, he's met some chick in the drive thru of a fast food joint! He's really going places.
And, to be honest, some of the toys haven't even been opened yet. They got way too much! I will let them play with some for a while and then let them get something else out and it will be like new. lol.
