Alright, so, I've decided this will be short. There's really no point to it at all because no one reads my little ol' blog anyway...

American Idol: Top 11 - Billboard #1's
So, last night was a disaster. It all started with Miley Cyrus as the mentor. Seriously? Really? I'm sorry, but just because she's on Disney channel and can sell millions of records, sing well, she does not. Sure, some of her stuff isn't that bad, but overall, not mentor material in mt book. But, let's face it, my book counts for nothing. I'd just expect them to have better people.
Aside from that, the show didn't get much better...

American Idol: Twelve becomes Eleven
Last night's results show started out great. I was so excited about David Cook that it actually took me a minute to realize they didn't do a group performance this week. I was happy they passed over that this week. David Cook was amazing as usual. I wish he would have sang one of his own songs, just because I think they are awesome, but I got why he didn't. They are kind of 'old' now and he stuck with the theme of the week - The Rolling Stones. How could anyone not like the Stones? ;)
As for the other music, I was excited to see Orianthi. I really like the song 'According to You.' I didn't think she gave a good perf though. Good thing she wasn't being judged. Now, Ke$ha. (It pains me to spell someone's name with symbols.) I just don't get her. I actually didn't think the song was that bad, but I think I have to be in 'mood' to listen to her music. I'm all for unique style but, seriously, what was with the Indian headdress? Is there something I'm missing?
I always look forward to the top 12 because they start the Ford commercials. Sometimes I think they can be kind of stupid, but generally, I like them. I thought the one from last night was neat and looked like they had a lot of fun making it. It was really cool that they got to design the graphics on one too. I assume the last two standing will get the cars they designed. That's really awesome.
I was happy to see that Paige was in the bottom three, even though I thought she did well this week. I've just not been a fan overall. My husband was ecstatic to see Tim there, and we were both saddened that Lacey was there. I was really hoping Andrew would be in the bottom three. Given the performances that he's had since the top 20, I'm really not sure why he's still there. At first I like him, and even defended my reasons for liking him, but yea, not anymore. Unless of course he does something amazing next week. Then I'll eat my words. With ketchup.
I was sad to see Lacey go home. I thought she picked the best of her songs so far to perform for her life, but I agreed with the judges. I just didn't think they should use the Save so early, but I will miss Lacey and be watching to see what she does now.
One last thing - I was cracking up when Simon asked "What is a Snooki's poof?" I regret that I know what it is, because Jersey Shore is ridiculous. I'm happy to say I've never watched a show(...in it's entirety.)
Anyway, what did you think about the results?

American Idol: Rolling Stones Week - Top 12
Last night was the 'official' start of the show for me. I love it when they get to the big stage, it just feels more...real? Yes, real. This is the part where the season should take off to better and greater things. I was really excited when I heard last week that they'd be choosing from Stones songs. I was thinking we'd get some really great performances, some good ol' rock and roll. I wasn't impressed. In fact, with exception of a few, I was down right disappointed. And, because of that, I think my thoughts will be shorter this week. (Sorry to my two faithful readers.)

Idol Results: Disappointment, Joy, Climax, and More Disappointment
Wow! Last night's results show really surprised me. I was truly upset when it was over. There were only two good things about the show, the rest bummed me out, but I'll get to that in a minute.
The show started out, much like every results show, with a group performance. This week the contestants joined together, and quite harmoniously, to sing Michael Buble's 'I Haven't Met You Yet.' Usually I loathe the group perfs with a passion, at least until the numbers have dwindled a bit. This was actually nice. It didn't have as much awkward movements and lip syncing fails as usual. I didn't cringe while watching. That's always a good thing.
So, as you read yesterday, my picks to go home were: Andrew Garcia, Aaron Kelly, Katie Stevens, and Paige Miles. FAIL=me.
And, just so he'll feel good about himself in getting one right, here are my husband's picks: In addition to Andrew and Paige, he chose Tim Urban and then got it right with Lilly Scott. He's a professional. Give him his props people. ;)
Now, onto the start of my depression. It came down to Katelyn Epperly and Paige Miles. We (my hus and I) thought it just had to be Paige going home. I mean, seriously, she's had issues with song choice from the start and I've not been impressed with a performance of hers yet. I really liked Katelyn, and even though she wasn't in my top 3 girls, I think she most likely would've been my number 4 pick. I will definitely miss her. ::cries::
When they called the back row of guys down to the stage, I think I almost hyperventilated. My top 3 guys were a part of the 4 and I just knew that one of them would be going home. My husband thought for sure that Tim would be the one out of them to go and I must say I was worried about that myself. I was actually shocked when it was Todrick that was voted out instead. I've been ready for him to go home for a while, he's just too cocky for his talent, but I didn't pick him to go home just because I didn't think it was likely. I actually clapped and squeed when Ryan made the announcement.
Now, the highlight of the season so far was Matt Giraud and Scott McIntyre's performance of 'Tell Her About It.' I was upset that Matt wouldn't be able to sing one of his original songs, but I was muy impressed with the performance they gave. I still have the song playing through my head! And, not to take away from Scott, but I couldn't believe that he already has an album coming out. My exact thoughts were: "WTF!? Scott has an album?" I feel this way because, seriously, what about Matty G? He's so great. I love his voice, his song type...the whole package. He owns me until further notice. =)
I was a little confused by Crystal Bowersox. I'm thinking that she must've been sick last night. Did anyone else notice that her face was pretty much void of any emotion? I couldn't help but think she must've gotten some botox before the show. I don't really think that, of course, but she didn't even look happy when Ryan said she was safe. I'm not knocking her here, I love her, but she has to have something going on. I just hope all is well.
Finally, the last two eliminations. I was floored. Alex Lambert? Really, America? When I saw it was down to Andrew and Alex, I was sure that we'd be saying good bye to Mr. Garcia. Boy, was I wrong! I think even the contestants were surprised by the outcome. Why else would it be so emotional during the commercial break? They were all really sad to see him go. And then there's Lilly...
Again, this wasn't one of my favorites, but I still thought she was good. She's a true artist, who knows herself. Katie on the other hand doesn't know WTF she wants to do as an artist. I really think America got it wrong here. I'd rather see someone that has a clue instead of someone that needs their hand held. Katie has a good voice and could be really good, but I just don't see a star in her.
So, what did you think about the results show? Was your favorite eliminated? And, what do you think about the news that the contestants will be singing songs by the Rolling Stones next week?

American Idol: Girls & Guys
Finally...I would've had my thought on the girls posted yesterday, but like the DA I am, I type up most of it then took a break and then hurt my finger and couldn't type. It still hurts some, but I must soldier on. ;) So, anyway, I'm just posting my thoughts on both nights together...

American Idol: A Weekly Review - Girls' Night
Last night the girls took the stage and I was extremely happy to see that Crystal was able to perform. I was so worried she would get eliminated if she couldn't participate because of her illness. There was speculation yesterday that she has diabetes and was later confirmed by her on twitter, through AI9Contestants.
"Crystal Bowersox: Don’t worry, my ‘beetus (diabetes) is under control. Thanks for all your well wishes, thanks to the boys, and the producers!! Can’t wait to perform tonight."
Well, I'm certainly glad she is doing better. And that brings me to the start of all my thoughts, as she was the opening performance.

American Idol: A Weekly Review - Guys' Night
Wow. I wanted to have this done early this morning. (Not that there's anyone waiting tortuously for my thoughts, but still.) However, today my husband decided it was "Clean Out the House" day. And can you believe it? MY closet floor isn't the bottomless pit I've been lead to believe. It actually has a floor. Who knew!?
Anyway, on to the Idols...
