I think this is my favorite one. I just like pictures that look like they can take you somewhere.

These pictures were all taken in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Midnight

Midnight... Is it a beginning or an end? I think perhaps it's the middle instead. A bridge. A fence. I find myself at my midnight now. I can stand up or break down. Cross the bridge, jump the fence - or stay in this Limbo. I wonder. I wonder how things come to happen without you even realizing it. How things can sneak up and knock you down. How something so simple, so innocent, can cause such heartache. Then there is this question: Should it even cause pain at all? I think it should, I think it shouldn't. I know it does and I know in reflection of the moment it always will. What I also know is that life will go on. I love with my whole heart and I will be happy. The time will change and so will I. I am. I am changing for the better. I hope. I trust.

Photobucket
This was taken at midnight. The lit up sky gives me a visual of where I am and where I want to be. I know that sounds cheesy, but I have those kind of moments occasionally.

Photographs of Solitude

These are some pictures I took while on a mini vacay in Tampa Bay, FL.

I 'named' this group of pictures a few days ago and thought that they fit pretty well with how I'm feeling at the moment. Only my view's not as pretty. Anyway, I don't want to digress too much and be a total downer, so here are the pics.

Blanket of Beauty: My Snowy Wonderland

I know, it's spring time, not winter, but I really like these pictures so I wanted to post them. Is it bad if I consider my own pictures to be good? Well, no matter, I really like these. I hope you do too. :)

Dean's Confession in Which the Aftermath is Scary

This is a double one shot (which is pretty oxymoronic if you think about it) that I wrote about a year ago based on the awesome show Supernatural. Of course these characters aren't mine, they belong to the epic genius that is Eric Kripke.

Like my other fanfic stuff, this is posted somewhere else as well, but I wanted to post it here too. So, I've not re-read it before posting because then I'll change it like I always do on a read through. It was good enough for my EIC-myrtle when I wrote it, so it should be fine. Obviously, if you've never seen the show but plan on watching it sometime and don't want to be spoiled, then don't read this. For consideration's sake:  Spoilers for season 4, Family Remains.

When I posted this before I had someone ask, "How would he know that?" You'll understand what I mean when you read it, but my answer is this: It's Hell, I imagine things work weird there and perhaps he didn't know, and only convinced himself that's how it was. Guilt is a funny thing... Plus, it's a fictional story. :)

Also, someone else said that would never happen bc, blah, blah, blah. Well, again, it's fiction and alternate universe in a way so I wrote it how I could see things going from that point. Obviously, that's not what happened on the show, but still - looking back at some of the things that did happen on the show, this doesn't seem entirely out of the realm of possibilities.

One important thing. This is in two parts. The beginning of the second part is in an alternating POV. The italics are Sam's and the regular is Dean.

Anyway, enough of my rambling on...

More Random Photographs by Me

After I thought about my "From the Ground" idea, I realized that I had other pictures I could post. Most of them fit into groups, but there were a few that I really liked that are just sort of random. These are those photos.

Photobucket
This is from a trip to Tampa Bay, FL. I don't know what this stuff is called, but I thought it looked really neat.

Photobucket
It was sad, though, I had to maneuver the camera just right so I wouldn't get a lot of trash in the picture.

Photobucket
This is obviously from the zoo. Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC to be exact. I thought the meerkats were so cute and this little guy was nice enough to pose for me. Admittedly, I was pretty proud of this picture.

Photobucket
This is my favorite tree and is just down the road from my house. (Yes, my favorite tree is dead. What of it?) I just love how, without the leaves, you can see the way the branches reach out.

Photobucket
A couple years ago my husband and I took a trip to Cherokee, NC and we got to see a group of guys doing traditional Cherokee Indian dances. They were all (if I remember correctly) 100% Cherokee Indian, so while they don't still live in teepees and stuff, it was an authentic representation of their history. I really loved this picture. The colors were really beautiful...to me at least.

More Pictures...

Again, I love taking pictures of random things. I got the idea of a little project for myself. Nothing important or interesting really, but whatever. I started taking pictures of a few things from down low and at an upward angle. It's plainly called 'From the Ground.' I will most likely give up on it soon and only have the few pics I already took, but maybe by mentioning it here at least one of my followers will urge me to do it. Anyway, that's not what these pictures are, they are just a few 'regular' kind. Once I get some more I will post them I think...

I was almost pecked to death by the momma bird. Well, not really, but it did squawk at me from a nearby tree until I moved away from her babies.

This is some of my family, portrayed fairly anonymously.

A Giggle for Mother's Day

The other day my mom sent me this in an email and I just thought it was sort of cute and funny. I have no idea who came up with it or where it originally came from, but I thought I'd share it. So... you know...this isn't mine.

Night Out

**WARNING: This post contains disturbing content that may be upsetting to some. Do not read if you are easily offended or are 'underage'. I added a content warning on the entire blog, but so far this is the only post that needs a warning so I'm removing the content warning on the entirety of my blog.**

Sometimes things pop into my head and they won't leave me alone. It's just fractions of events, no real story. This happened to me today while I was cleaning the kitchen of all things. So, I decided to put it down here and I'll probably continue to do so as things come to me. I don't really expect anyone to like this or any other broken ramblings I may post, but I still think this gives you enough to have a visual without a lot of details.

I think this particular - whatever - can be taken one of two ways: either I'm really paranoid or I'm psychotic. I assure you, I'm paranoid more than psychotic. That being said, this is not full of happy words. In fact, I think it's rather disturbing. You've been warned.

Night Out

Speakers bump, dance hard.
Drink fast, no worries, girl time.

Early morning, last call.
Outside sloppy, stranger lurking, shock attack.

Can't move, dragged away.
Dark space, cold room, tied down.

Loud screams, deaf ears.
Playtime over, metal shines, easy pressure.

Clean cut, can't breathe.
Choking blood, lights fade...

Heart stops.

See, I told you it was disturbing.

Lucifer is Rising: He is...

Title: He is...
Author: Me - Ava Conner
Summary: Sam's thoughts as Lucifer rises.
AN: I wrote this last year right after the finale and posted it elsewhere, but I'm slowly reposting my writing here just bc it gives me a false sense of accomplishment. Humor me.

Photobucket
Dean: "Sammy, let's go."  Sam: "Dean. He's coming."

In the distance, I hear the pleas of my brother.  He says we need to go, but I stand here in awe at the opening of His broken cage.  My mind is racing.  I’m frozen.

We started this.  Dean the beginning, me the end.  The world will change.  For the better?  For the worse?

He is Lucifer.

He is Satan.

He is the Adversary.

He is the Devil.

He is the Morning Star.

He is the Light Bringer.

He is my Savior.

He is risen.

He is before us.

The new world begins.  Now.  I know it will be beautiful.

-----------------------------

AN: I know, I know. That was really repetitive... Anyway, I know that's not how things happened, but from early on while watching Supernatural, I wanted Sam to go dark side. Maybe not irrevocably so, but still I wanted to see him get there.

The Photography of an Amateur

I don't have a fancy camera with special lenses and the only time I've been taught a lick about photography was back in a special interest class in the 7th grade. Well, needless to say, that was a looong time ago and I don't remember anything from it. However, I love taking pictures and then messing with effects and stuff. I thought I'd add some here.

All these were taken at my grandma's house. She always has beautiful flowers in her yard. I, on the other hand, have a few half dead bushes in the front yard. Heaven help them...Anyway, the first one is my favorite and I've already posted it on Twitter, but I'm adding it here again. =)
